The staff and fans of 103.5 Apex FM had the first outreach of the radio in 2024 in Kayunga district last week [Wednesday 3/4/2024]. The road safety campaign dubbed “Ba bulindaala Ku Luguudo otaase obulamu” is aimed at creating awareness amongst the public about road safety and how to reduce road carnage.

Upon reaching Busaana playground in Kayunga District, thousands of people had already filled the venue anxiously waiting to meet their favorite presenters.

The activities of the day were road safety sensitization, giving out Apex FM stickers, reflector jackets, entertainment, motorcycle racing, netball and football match.

The station also donated a full set of a football uniform and balls to the host team of Busaana which was handed over by the station administrator Mr.Oporya Matthias.

At around 5:00 PM, stage performances from comedians and artistes like the great family comedians, Voicy Nancy , Kadabada, Leopard and Hassan Doo had commenced etc.

While talking to Apex Press Unit, the CEO of Apex FM Counsel JB Frank thanked the team of Busaana for welcoming Apex FM family in Kayunga, committed to continue working closely with the community for mutual benefit. In addition, he thanked the sponsors who supported the station to make the outreach happen.

The sponsors include; Macedonian Vocational Institute, Nsaka SS, Miashabora day care and Nursery school, Dad’s snacks Iganga, Secure technologies, House of nature among others.

The road safety campaign was planned at a time when road accidents are on the rise.

According to the organizing team, the next district to be visited will be communicated soon.
