A number of protesters who woke up to participate in the March to Parliament campaign against corruption have been detained by security agencies.

Despite several warnings from security agencies and President Yoweri Museveni himself, some protesters were motivated to champion their fight against corruption, with some  enchanting  their voices high “Anita Among must go…” calling for the resignation of Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, who has been implicated in significant corruption scandals, ministers , parliamentary commissioners and some Mps.

However the President Uganda Law Society(ULS), Bernad Oundo has put up a team of Lawyers to secure police bonds for protestors arrested during the anti- corruption march to parliament. Sources from Uganda law society reveal that all the stations where the protesters have been detained have already been visited by lawyers from Uganda Law Society to offer pro bono service.
